Premiere: Antenna’s ‘Love 66’ is brimming with balearic charm

We’ve got another gem from Eskimo’s forthcoming ‘The Red Collection’ to share with you — and it comes to us via 29-year-old Russian producer Antenna.

By day Antenna works at several Russian radio stations, but by night he’s transformed into a mysterious disco producer with his trusty sidekick and cat, Paskuda.

Antenna’s contribution for ‘The Red Collection’ – which we’re premiering today –  is ‘Love 66’ a charming slice of horizontal disco that’s filled to the brim with balearic charm.

Built around noodling, low-slung basslines, fluttering snake charmer melodies and steady disco percussion, ‘Love 66’ is an ode to warm summer nights and his favourite hookah tobacco.

The 6th instalment of Eskimo’s colour series brings together the best of the label’s recent releases with unreleased gems from their friend and family including Satin Jackets, TSM (This Soft Machine), and Atella.

Across the compilation’s 13 track (and a bonus mix CD) ‘The Red Collection’ effortlessly segues between leftfield electronic pop, disco, and house, taking us from the frozen north to the souks of the middle east and beyond.
