Premiere: Projections’ ‘Distortion’ gets a electro-disco makeover from Jerry Bouthier

Taken from their forthcoming ‘II’ EP, ‘Distortions’ is the new single from Parisian duo Projections — and we’ve got the exclusive first play of Jerry Bouthier’s mesmerising electro-disco remix.

Inspired by the soundtracks of François de Roubaix and Ennio Morricone and acts like Air and Bertrand Burgalat, Projections’ music is equal parts cinematic post-rock, atmospheric electronica and psychedelic ambition.

Accompanying the single are a brace of remixes from two France’s finest disco producers; Continental Records’ Jerry Bouthier, which we’re premiering today, and Partyfine label boss and all-round disco demigod Yuksek.

Jerry Bouthier transforms the track into a genuine banger brimming with electro-sounding breaks that are slathered in scratched sirens and fist-pumping attitude.

Disco don Yuksek goes straight to the percussive heart of the track, slowly building it into an unstoppable groove machine.

Check out the original and both remixes below.
