James Blake has reached the point where he’s transcended genre definition, which is no mean feat. Arguably one of the most influential figures in the electronic music scene recently, his first self-titled album reached critical acclaim, gaining a stunningly broad audience despite not being overtly accessible to most ears. Now is the time for the challenging ‘follow up album’. Undoubtedly one of the most hotly anticipated releases of 2013, ‘Overgrown’ has a lot to live up to.

Manchester’s Delphic have finally given their new album a name and, most importantly, a release date of January 28. Made in a farm just outside Manchester ‘Collections’ was then produced in part by Tim Goldsworthy and Ben Allen in America.

We featured new female singer-song-writer Claire Maguire a few weeks ago, well now she’s enlisted Mr shyness Siriusmo to remix her track “Ain’t No Body”. Siriusmo is a German producer and graffiti artist who works with Modeselektor. He famously doesn’t perform due to stage fright and is one of electronic musics more reclusive characters. One of the reason why Delphic’s debut received such high priase was because of the sheer number of releasable tracks within it – and Halycon is the next song to get a release. We have the bizarre, but equally good dub step/grime/indie (if it’s not, were not sure then) remix from the fairly unknown L-Vis [...]

Their debut album ‘Acolyte’ is released this week and it’s fantastic. Enjoy. Altenative Therapy Delphic Special by LostlivesAudio

Delphic are the latest band to try and navigate the windy roads of hype and success. They comprise of James Cook (vocals), Matt Cocksedge (guitar) and Richard Boardman (multi-instrumentalist) Dan Theman (Drums) and have been tipped by many for great success through the usual channels of hype and word of mouth. But this is all [...]
