The final piece of the jigsaw for Boys Noize’s 100th release has now been unveiled: the electric Chemical Brothers remix. There’s obviously no need for introductions, only to say the Chems create a remix that is on heavy on the gritty world of old-school rave culture.

The bosses of the crosses Justice have remixed fellow electronic heavyweight Boys Noize to celebrate his label’s 100th release.
To celebrate the 100th release of his Boys Noize Records Imprint, the German techtro maestro Alex Ridha, aka Boys Noize, has lined-up a stellar remixes package with the bosses of the crosses Justice and The Chemical Brothers both remixing ‘Ich R U’ and ‘XTC’.

One of our favourite tracks from Boys Noize’s latest album is ‘Ich R U’ – so when we heard JLC had remixed it we were more than a little bit giddy with excitement. Unfortunately JLC’s remix doesn’t quite hit the spot. It’s not bad, but just doesn’t seem to flow quite how it probably should – dare we say it’s a bit too wonky? Proof you can’t always improve upon on a proven recipe.
Boys Noize can’t put a foot wrong at the moment, and to that end he’s remixed German metal band Rammstein and their latest song ‘Mein Herz Brennt’ – and to be brutally honest it’s great. It’s obviously hard as hell, but the German producer adds just enough of a 4/4 beat and some violins to make it fairly palatable considering the abrasive vocals.
Check out the full version of Aeroplane’s Miami inspired remix of Mixhell’s ‘Exit Wound’ – it sees the Belgian producer combine hip hop bass drums with crisp neon synths.
Boys Noize announced yesterday that there’s going to be a ‘Ich R U/What You Want’ EP including remixes from HBF favourite Jacques Lu Cont, Chromeo, Jimmy Edgar & D.I.M, it’s going to be out on January 14 via his own label Boysnoize Records.
