We’ve been really impressed with everything we’ve heard from Kevin Knapp in recent months. Having racked up some impressive cuts of club-facing house on imprints including Crosstown Rebels, OFF Recordings and Danse Club Records, the US-born, Berlin-based selector joins forces with Ibiza-based duo Audiojack for a new EP that sees Knapp not only lending his production prowess but his deadpan vocal delivery, too.
We’re premiering the wonderfully focussed ‘Implications’ that sees the makeshift trio delivering a cut that revolves around Knapp’s vocals. Offering up a quintessential underground house vocal about experimentation and letting go, the trio then pair up Knapp’s killer vocals with a deep, propulsive groove that further adds to the vocal’s impact as you’re treated to 8 minutes of slowly mutating house that’s primed to do some serious dancefloor damage this summer.
“With each passing year it becomes more apparent to me that Audiojack are my music brothers. We are in the groove with the projects we approach, and I get excited every time we start something new together,” explains Knapp on the collaboration’s impact.
More of this, please.
