Arthur Baker & Rhythm Masters prove that not all tech-house is gash

Arthur baker & The Rhythm Masters

Arthur Baker knows a thing or two about electronic music, having cut his teeth in both Boston as a disco producer and later in New York working and producing with the likes of Afrika Bambaataa (which used to be cool) there’s know doubt he’s widely regarded as one of the living legends of the US scene.

UK duo Rhythm Masters also know a thing about electronic music having remixed everyone from Jamiroquai to Amy Whinehouse during their 20 year career — so a collaboration between these two talisman of dance music would surely yield something truly revolutionary?

Well, they’re really not far off with their new track ‘Losing You’ — from our untrained ear it kinda sounds like a tech-house freight train that been fed through Baker’s disco fingers, and with all the doom and gloom about the merits of tech-house (which we largely agree with) this particular cut is certainly bucking the trend.
