15. Mumbai Science – Deja Vu
Mumbai Science have grown up on a strict diet of Belgian electronic music – so it’ll come as no surprise their debut album carries the torch for the future Belgian electro, and like 2 Many DJs, the duo have created a album every bit as convincing as their counterparts. Deja Vu comes at a time where electro is at a low point and seemingly the preserve of a few chain-smoking French producers. But the duo proved there’s plenty of room for some new faces and, more importantly, there’s still a market in-your-face electro with tracks like ‘Vegas‘ and the album’s title track ‘Deja Vu‘ standing out as highlights. Easily the best straight-up electro album of 2014.
