It’s been a while since Ronny graced HBF, in fact it was probably her last track made alongside Mylo. Well as you’d expect she’s knee deep in album stuff and has released a new track, ‘Rough n Soothe’, from said forthcoming album last month.

It seems constant comparisons to Madonna (we’re as guilty as anyone) might have actually gone to Ronika’s head, as her latest song ‘Dance’ with 2004′s electronic poster-boy Mylo sounds strikingly similar to Stuart Price’s well-recieved work with Madge.
Two of the UK’s most promising multi-instrumentalists Little Boots and Ronika have combined for Boots’ new song ‘Headphones’. Ronny drops the vocals down a couple of octaves, adds a shuffling set of drums and gives it hushed disco sound, with just a pinch funk halfway through.
Shook has uploaded the second song from his new EP onto Soundcloud – it follows on his ‘Distorted Love’ collaboration with Ronika.
Ronika’s new single ‘Automatic’ gets the remix treatment courtesy Lovers & Gamblers – they strip out the original’s retro-funk aesthetic and replace it with plenty of house-keys, funky strings and hand-claps – turning into a decent cut of shiny urban house.
She’s back, she’s back. The Madonna of the midlands Ronika has been unusually quiet during 2012 – but she back with a bang with her new single ‘Automatic’. It’s easily her finest work to date, and is seeing her flying solo as she has both written and produced the track. Looks like the time spent at the RBMA wasn’t wasted on her one bit.
There’s a serious side to Ronika-ka-ka-ka-ka, (who knew?) her new track ‘Clock’ features mature vocals from Charles Washington and shows that she knows how to mix things up a bit.
Ronika’s star continues to rise with her new video and a new remix of ‘Only Only’ from Fear Of The Tigers. Check it out.
It’s not often that two of our favourite artists come together, but that’s exactly what has happened with Ronika and Shook.
Great video for Ronika’s next single ‘In The City’ – directed by Laurence Matthew Blake – ‘In The City’ will be out October 3 via Record Shop.
Ronika’s disco star has been steadily rising since we featured her a few months ago and any thoughts that she was just a flash-in-pan has been fully knocked into touch with her next release ‘Only Only/ In The City’.
Ronika’s new single is amazing and we’ve you told numerous times to check her out – we’ve been waiting for a sweet remix for her two new tracks, there have been plenty of them, but finally we get one we really like and in a typically assured manner it’s from Ronika herself. That’s right she not just a pretty face and a great voice, she’s a producer too.
Ronika Sampson is a producer and singer from Nottingham who is already grabbing the headlines over at the Guardian and Dazee Digital – the best way to descibe her sound would be early Jacque Lu Cont with the vocal flair of Gwen Stefani. We know quite a combination.
