Shook has had a quiet 2012 by his usual prolific standards, but this is actually a good thing as he’s likely to be knee deep in synths writing news music – while we wait for that, be sure to grab a free remix he made for Fixers’ ‘Iron Deer Dream’. It’s Shook, but not as we know it.
It’s summer in the world of Dutch funk producer Shook and he has clearly been inspired by the warm weather as he has just unveiled his latest collaboration with American singer Pumashock.

If you don’t know Shook, then you should. He’s a mysterious man from Holland, who plays keyboards and lives with his side-kick Wolf. Today he released his second EP ‘The Rise And Fall’ and it’s the psychedelic sequel to his first adventure ‘Glow’, it follows the pretty much the same tried and tested blend of caricature electro, funk, disco and soul.
It’s not often you get an original piece of music from Shook, the dutch funk producer has been busy beavering away in his funk-cave on a new EP – which will be out on November 7.
It’s not often that two of our favourite artists come together, but that’s exactly what has happened with Ronika and Shook.
We did say that there wouldn’t be anymore music until Wednesday – well we couldn’t resist a new track from Dutch funk sensation Shook and his remix of the new Louis La Roche track ‘The Wall’. But honestly that’s it now……. Well unless some Daft Punk or Justice drops, we’re done.

We haven’t heard from Shook for a while until today, he popped on Facebook to let everyone know that his remix for Ellie Goulding’s ‘Lights’ is out on iTunes. It’s a funky blend of disco and synth pop. Listen to it below.
That’s right our favourite funk dude Shook has remixed Sting’s daughter who is called I Blame Coco – the track is called “Quicker” she does actually sound a little bit like Sting, well in a female way, imagine Sting as a girl. Not that hard really. Grab it now while you can and expect more great things from Shook in 2011.
