We’re no strangers to Steve Aoki and his antics – but it would finally seem he has given up on his cake throwing days.

“To start the New Year I’ m making some new changes and have decided I’ll no longer be caking fans at most festivals,” he writes. “There might be an exception here or there but for the most part I’ll be saving the CAKE for my headline shows, keeping it exclusive for the die hard fans.”

Aoki’s raison d’etre has been throwing cakes at his fans during his shows – and over the years he has come into more and more criticism from fellow DJs who think that shouldn’t be part of a modern DJ show.

Whatever your thoughts, it seems that Steve kinda agrees and while the cakes aren’t gone for good at least it’s a step in the right direction.
