La Belle co-founder Golden Bug returns with a fresh taste from his forthcoming album ‘V.I.C.T.O.R.‘.

‘Wrong Thing‘ features Tigers on a Leash’s Lou Teti, and is backed by remixes from Jupiter Lion, Remain and Belgian disco duo Villa.

‘Wrong Thing‘ is pretty leftfield, even for Golden Bug. But despite all the darkness and despair, Teti’s vocals offer up some solace from the pulsating basslines and scratchy, acrid synth work.

The remixes, thankfully, are little easier on the ear; naturally the pick of the bunch comes from Villa, who have been going from strength-to-strength since finding a home on Yuksek’s Partfine.

Their remix is probably the most electro-sounding thing we’ve heard from the duo in a long time, drawing inspiration from Belgian New Beat, electro clash and electronica. It’s basically a grade-A banger.

Elsewhere, Remain offers up a menacing electro-clash remix a la Black Strobe, whilst Jupiter Lion goes for a 12 minute alt-rock rework set against relentless acid basslines. And at no point does it get boring.
