Nearly Native shares rave-inspired cut, ‘Colour’ (Feat. Femme)

Nearly Native — Colour feat. Femme

Nearly Native is the alias of James Leggett, who has many feathers to his bow; he’s the guitarist for Jonas Blue, writer and producer for V V Brown and has written numerous hits for other artists

Today, though, he has his Nearly Native cap on and delivers a rave-inspired cut, ‘Colour’, that’s brimming with urban sensibility, ranging from shuffling four-four house to more two-step inclined garage.

Throw in a couple of contrasting vocals — one male and one female (Femme) — which play off each other in a call and response and you’ve got a club-friendly cut that’s sure to do the business.

‘Colour’ is the first of many tracks to come from Nearly Native in 2017, and his first EP will be a broad and impressive collection of dark and immersive, yet club-friendly, electronica. Each song on the EP features a different vocalist.

Femme, who released her debut album last year, recently revealed a new solo track ‘Fire with Fire’ and has sold out a headline show at London’s Heaven this coming December.
