We’ve got the exclusive first listen of Joakim Bouaziz’s remix of Jay-Jay Johanson’s current single ‘Moonshine’, which is take from the Swede’s 10th studio album, ‘Opium’.

Whilst the original is an avant-guard slice of alt-indie that’s not a million miles away from the likes of Portishead and Massive Attack, Joakim’s remix is firmly set in the world of electronic music.

Joakim marries stilted percussion against the originals’ ghostly vocals, and as the remix develops there’s tug-of-war between electro elements, namely the swelling basslines and discordant melodies, and the originals’ melodic nature.
