“I wanna get back to doing stuff like my Abba re-edit,” explains Mighty Mouse backstage at last month’s Scandalism in Manchester.

Having spent a great deal of 2013 concentrating on his new project Du Tonc. The second half of 2014 will see him refocus on all things Mighty Mouse, and the first piece of the puzzle starts today.

“Modern Disco has gotten a bit stale lately – so I want to get back-to-basics, you know, do some re-edits of some of my favourite old disco records, and then give them away.”

And today the London disco producer delivered on his promise with the release of his new Edits mixtape, which features 7 brand-new Mighty Mouse edits of disco staples ranging from Sister Sledge’s ‘You Fooled Around‘ to classic party-starters like Yello’s ‘The Race‘.

Stay tuned, as in the coming weeks Mighty Mouse has promised downloads of all seven edits.

And in the meantime you’ve got this excellent mixtape to sink your teeth into.
