What’s left to say about Yuksek in 2013? His brand new label Partyfine continues to release outstanding tracks almost on a weekly basis, while simultaneously his own remix work has been of such a high standard lately that bloggers around the world are running out of superlatives. This week he has provided not one but two individual remixes both of such a high standard it’s hard not to be won over the enigmatic Reims native.

First up Dan Croll’s ‘Home’ gets the Yuksek treatment. What was originally a quaint ditty about the joys of home and family, becomes so much more in the Frenchman’s hands. By adding some of his trademarked funky bass lines and synth signatures, Yuksek turns the up-and-coming English singer songwriter’s song into a proper end of the night set closer. You can easily imagine thousands of joyous clubbers singing along to the remix in a club or at a festival as dawn begins to break.

Chassol’s ‘Oddisi’ has also benefited from a new Yuksek remix. Chassol who is most famous for his collaborations with Sebastien Tellier and Phoenix is a renowned musical experimentalist and his track benefits greatly from some of the Partyfine retooling. Reminiscent of some of his slower remixes this track is more atmospheric, but retains the Frenchman’s trademark style and panache that will soon get you in a dancing mood.

Having two different releases of such a high standard in one week proves that Yuksek’s high quality output shows no sign of slowing down in the near future and thats something we can all be thankful for.
