London-based producer Kiwi, aka Alex Warren, teams up with East Londoner Ashworth for a new music outing, dubbed the ‘Dawn‘ EP, which is out today via Sneaky Music.

Kiwi has had a sterling 2013 with his ‘Llama‘ EP finding its way into the CD wallets of a lot of notable names, whilst East Londoner Ashworth recently debuted on Balsaal garnering support Dixon, DJ T and Josh Wink.

The EP serves up a selection of barebones esoteric house, with lead track ‘UCX3‘ standing out the most. It’s a half-euphoric-half-pumping roller that swells alongside faded melodies and shuffling percussion.

Dusk‘ showcases a slightly more experimental side as a pulsating moog bassline sits alongside field recordings, which then gives way to reverb-drenched pianos and folksy violin licks – it’s quite experimental but actually works pretty well.

Rounding off the EP is ‘Zubr‘, it’s a slow burner that shuffles along at a snails pace, it never really breaks a sweat but there are a variety of bass textures and twinkling melodies to keep you interested from start to finish.

Out now.
