Mysterious Paris-based trio Tristesse Contemporaine are set to release their second long-play ‘Stay Golden‘ via Records Makers on November 25. Their sound is a blend of warm, hazy indie and sharp electro pop. This fusion is best shown off with the album’s opening track ‘Fire‘ which we’re really excited to be premiering today.
Tristesse Contemporaine consists of a Japanese ex-punk singer; a Swedish hockey player turned guitarist; and a British hip-hop fan known for his role as the lead singer of Earthling – basically they embody the very concept of a ‘melting pot’. ‘Fire‘ is autumn in a bottle as the trio blends glassy hooks over hazy basslines set against low-key vocals – it’s really quite tastefully done and really catchy.
Pre-order ‘Stay Golden‘ now here.
‘Fire‘ will be released November 11, with remixes from Kasper Bjorke, Daniel Maloso, Clement ASWF and Hypnolove.
