South African born, New York-based Jean-Philip Grobler, aka St. Lucia, shows us how to soundtrack summer with his new single ‘Elevate’. This will be the ex-choir boys first single from his October due album ‘When the Night’, which will be released on Columbia imprint Neon Gold Records, a label that seems to be striking gold fairly regularly.

Looking set to capture the heart of the 80s ‘Elevate’ oozes with new wave/synthpop influence in a way that hasn’t been achieved so convincingly in quite a while. Sparkly synths, shimmery guitars and the obligatory Phil Collins-esque brassy breakdown, makes for a well-produced, skilfully written song that has all the ingredients to make this your go to track in the sun.

Play at temperatures above 30°C/86°F.
