There are lots of producers in Belgium. Some you’ll certainly know about: Aeroplane, Villa, Soulwax et al – then there are some who have been on the fringes of the disco mafia.

It would probably be fair to say the Mickey has been on the fringes, but over the last 12 months he’s been getting plently of attention with his last single with UK duo Monarchy and remixes for Montevideo and Jeremy Glen.

Well, he’s back with a new EP out today via Smile Records. It’s a 4-track EP with two remixes courtesy of Hot Creations’ Funky Fat, and a blast from the past Little Loud.

The single straddles disco, synth wave and pop and features vocals from Billie, who probably isn’t the Billie were all thinking off. It’s a solid single and showcases the Belgium’s talents outside of his disco comfort zone.

The standout remix for us is the Little Loud remix, some of you may remember him, some may not – he’s a synth producer from the south coast who we’ve posted before. Anyway his remix steals the show; managing to be quirky and catchy – whilst managing to keep a bit of the original’s hazy emotion.
