Shelby Grey ‘Wild Youth’ (Goldroom Remix)
We’ve never actually posted a Goldroom track before – for us some of his output has been a bit, dare we say it: too tropical – it’s probably a cultural thing. He’s from the coast, where it’s warm and carefree – we, on the other hand, are slap-bang in the heart of the old industrial heartland: a grey, bleak existence – to say the two are diametrically opposing worlds would be an understatement.
Well, his latest remix actually does push our old weathered buttons – he’s turned in a blindingly catchy remix of Holographic Peoeple’s Shelby Grey and their new single Wild Youth’. It’s as soothing as it’s dance-y, seemingly finding that perfect spot between the pool and dancefloor (swimming-floor?) – especially noteworthy is his choice of synth palette – they’re gleaming, yet still carry plenty of texture to create a rapturous disco-gem.
Now we get it.
