Hopsital Records high-flyer Danny Byrd has done a really pleasing remix of California by sassy singer song-writer Zarif, too say we like would be a understatement. We really like it.
Zarif has been cropping up quite a bit in our life, with a string of solid remixes for her song Box of Secrets, in both, Dustep and jump-up Dnb varieties. This one treads slightly different ground – with Byrd making a really good piece of liquid drum and bass.
Her album is out on the 30th August and will be well worth a purchase – if your a fan of Amy Winehouse, you’ll probably love Zarif. And she’s a lot better looking than that drug-filled dehydrated horse.
