FNP is a producer caught between two worlds. By day he works as a promoter for mainstream acts but by night he’s FNP, a London-based producer with a penchant for blissed-out house jams.
His latest, ‘Somewhere South’, is somewhat conflicted too, one the one hand you’ve got this sunny slice of piano house — with a dry, lo-fi aesthetic — that’s married to a improvised acid wigg-out, which sits in stark contrast to the track’s golden hued background.
Ultimately, it makes for a really captivating track that otherwise would have likely run out of steam by the second minute.
