Its been a long time coming, but masked French electro maestro Danger has finally announced the release of his debut album, dubbed ‘太鼓 (Taiko)’.
Trying to pin down Franck Rivoire and his infamous DANGER alias is almost impossible. The Parisian producer has made a name for himself by being one of the most mysterious producers around, basically he’s dance music’s equivalent of Batman.
He rarely releases music — and when he does — it always just appears with little or no press fan fare, by the time you do take notice, he’s disappeared down some dark Parisian alleyway never to be seen again. We wouldn’t be surprised if his manager has to shine a giant D in the Parisian night sky to get in contact with him.
Despite his own reservations towards the album format, which he discusses at length in an interview with NestHQ, Frank Rivoire (the man behind the mask) has finally decided to release an album after ten years of EPs and remixes.
To celebrate the impending release of his debut album, the mysterious French producer has created a short mini-mix of the album’s best bits, which you can hear below, ahead of the album’s release on May 31st.
He’s also created a longer mixtape for the gold folks over at NextHQ, which we’ve embedded below and features a smorgasbord of Danger’s own productions.
