The last time we featured Parisian duo Neumodel was back in 2015, and back in then we described the duo – which is made up of Elias and Julian Neumodel – as “young, French, and cool”.

Well, they’re still young, French and cool and are back with a new EP on The Supermen Lovers’ Word Up Records once again.

Combining chic Parisian pop with a variety of different electronic timbres and tempos their latest EP, ‘Mechanical’, has a little bit of everything; ‘Clouded’ and ‘CRYCRYCRY’ are your archetypal pop house bangers, both featuring excellent vocals from Tessa and Claude Gallo, respectively.

‘Zephyr’ is more ponderous as the duo combine trap-like percussion and textures with strained vocals. ‘Alive’ on the other hand notches up the intensity up once again for arguably the release’s strongest track, whilst ‘Fresh’ adds an electro spin to Tessa B’s soulful vocals to round off another excellent EP from the Parisian duo.
