French duo Justice have broken their four year silence with news that their third studio album is almost ready.
Because Music – who have exclusive rights to Pedro Winter’s Ed Banger Records – tweeted a picture of Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé signing what appears to be a new record deal, with the caption: “On our way to new adventures with these boys [Justice]”.
The bosses of the crosses have been working on the follow-up to ‘Audio, Video, Disco’ – which was release to largely positive reviews in 2011 – for a while now. That album was then followed-up by the enigmatic duo with ‘Access All Arenas’, which saw the duo bring the album’s new material into the live arena.
The news won’t come as a surprise to many of us as Pedro Winter confirmed that Justice were in the studio everyday working on the album last year, and Gaspard Augé also revealed that the album was progressing well when he was asked about it at a festival last year.
What direction might the album take? Nobody really knows yet – the duo are notoriously secretive when it comes to their music – but what ever direction it takes we can’t wait to find out.
So when might we expect to hear something from the album? Our best bet would be later this year, with the album dropping early next year. But that’s purely guess work. Their last album was released in October 24, 2011 with the debut track, ‘Civilisation’, revealed 6 months beforehand on April 4, 2011.
