HBF’s head honcho Andrew Rafter has been preaching about the merits of melody to techno enthusiasts for a long time, and it appears that Atelier Francesco has been listening.

Out this week on BOSO (the label of Walking With Elephants fame) Akaino has all the sub rumble you could ask for, but also contains glorious, floaty, melodic choir sections; it’s a bit like a stronger, heavier, more 4 to the floor Siriusmo.

Plus, thanks to all that lovely sub action I now know my teeth have a resonant frequency!
