As you may already know Alex Metric is releasing a new EP, called ‘Ammunition Pt2’. It comes with two brand-new tracks (one with LA duo Oliver), and three remixes of ‘Rave Weapon’, which was the lead track from his last ‘Ammunition’ EP.

To be brutally honest, we were never the biggest fan of ‘Rave Weapon’ – the main lead is, how should we say this, a tad annoying. But thankfully Vito De Luca, of Aeroplane fame, has turned the track on its head and made it into a dubby house track with emphasis on the vocal.

It’s million miles away from his usual disco output, somehow he even makes the divisive main-lead make a bit more sense. The same can’t be said about the two dubstep remixes on the EP. But when you release something on OWSLA (Skrillex’s label), you kinda expect there to be some wobble somewhere.

Out December 3 via OWSLA.
