Shook has been pretty quiet since releasing his last album ‘Continuum’ back 2016, sadly the Dutch producer was taken ill with Pancreatitis and is still battling the illness to this day.
“As some of you know, I was diagnosed with Pancreatitis in mid-2016 and still battling my illness,” explains the producer in a note written on Youtube.
“While I was hospitalized I got contacted by the duo — Director Anise Mariko of mikineko productions and Cinematographer Ivan Wong from Sony Alpha Imaging Collective — they felt compelled to shoot something beautiful for me. During our collaboration, I was mostly in the hospital, but I tried to work on my music whenever I could.
“Anise and Ivan wanted to create a video that was the opposite of what I was sometimes feeling during my illness. A video that captures an unearthly presence leading you through different cities, the freedom to run wherever you want, or simply sit in a place watching the sun rise over the world.”
Everyone at HBF wishes Jasper a speedy recovery so he can get back to doing what he does best: making music.
