Premiere: SBTH inject Gemini Brothers’ ‘Nights With Lorelai’ with some acidic chug

One of the many highlights from the recently released ‘The Red Collection’ compilation from Eskimo Records was Bucharest-based Gemini Brothers and their fantastically hypnotic ‘Travel Inside’.

As with many of the compilation’s highlights, its now being given a full single alongside a new track, ‘Nights With Lorelai’, that has been stunningly remixed from Lossless label bosses SBTH, which we’re excited to be premiering today.

Whilst the original, which you can also hear below, falls squarely in Eskimo’s MO of elusive disco melodies and acidic house squelches, SBTH decide to take ‘Nights With Lorelai’ down a different path; toughening up the track’s impact with growling bass tones and tripped-out melodies, which gives the track a suitably dubbed-out feel. The perfect fodder, then, for dark, sweaty warehouse raves.

With releases on labels including Skint, Night Noise, Nein Records and now Eskimo, and regularly getting spins from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Tiga, Psychemagik and John Talabot — isn’t it about time you got onboard the Gemini Brothers hype train?

Gemini Brothers’ ‘Travel Inside’/ ”Nights With Lorelai’ is May 19 via Eskimo Recordings.
