Last night the great and good of the UK dance scene descended on London’s Heaven nightclub for DJ Mag’s Best of British awards.

Created as a counter to the divisive Top 100 DJs poll, the best of British awards were created as a way to celebrate the sheer breadth and depth of the hugely successful UK dance scene from labels to DJs, clubs to festivals.

Awards were given out in a range of categories including best album, best remix, best compilation, best breakthrough DJ, best festival and industry icon.

This year’s winners included Skepta, Annie Mac, Fabio & Grooverider, Fabric, Defected, Carl Cox, Chemical Brothers, Nocturnal Sunshine, Revenge, Bicep, Greg Wilson, Slam, Jasper James, Eats Everything, and more.

DJ Mag has also announced that voting is now open for the 2016 edition of the annual Top 100 Clubs Poll. The annual Top 100 Clubs poll is the definitive list of the best clubs on earth. Over 400,000 clubbers voted in 2015, with Brazilian club, Green Valley, regaining the No.1 spot from Space, Ibiza.

DJ Mag’s continued support for the nightlife industry includes the ‘Save Our Club’s’ campaign, which highlights the positive contribution it makes to global cultural and financial economies.
