It’s often said that the Dutch are light years ahead of other countries in the way they deal with recreational drug use, so much so this week the Dutch government has said that if any attendees at this week’s ADE is caught with 5 or less pills they will not face any form of prosecution.

Amsterdam authorities clearly aren’t in the business of locking up users, instead they prefer the educational and harm prevention route.

In fact, it’s not uncommon for users to test the purity of pills across the city, free of prosecution, something that does save lives, and is sorely missing in the UK and US.

ADE is a week of non-stop parties, seminars, and workshops, that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world to sample Amsterdam’s world famous clubs.

If you’re going to ADE please be careful as doing the rounds in the city.

You have been warned.
