Easter weekend is almost upon us – so we thought we’d roundup the best events that are taking place over the double bank holiday in Manchester.

The Albert Hall are offering a triple-header from Transmission. On Friday you’ve got Carl Cox and Friends, which will see Cox rock up with fellow portly DJ Eats Everything for a night of chunky house and techno. On Saturday, you’ve got the Defected crew in toe with legendary duo Masters At Work on the 1s and 2s for a unique headline show.

Above & Beyond will also be returning to Manchester at The Albert Hall on April 5, with progressive don Grum in toe on support duties. Above & Beyond have continued to release forward-thinking instrumental club music – such as their latest single “Mariana Trench” – on their renowned Anjunabeats label. An essential part of their story, the label is now in its 13th year and has helped to nurture artists like the London-based innovator Mat Zo, the eclectic genius Andrew Bayer and Russian star Arty.

AprilDisco aficionados have female run house and disco night Witch*unt to look forward to. They welcome back their favourite disco don Mighty Mouse, who was last seen on the Witch*unt stage back in September. Fresh from playing XOYO and with an upcoming American tour soon taking him away from our shores, this is a rare not to be missed opportunity to see one of disco’s most consistent producers.

Sankeys offers up a double header of house and techno, Friday you have Tribal Sessions which returns for its 3rd party this year with the ever popular Darius Syrossian/Hector Couto collaboration. Expect the usual scenes of energetic dancefloor bangers that will defiantly prevent you from having a laidback weekend! Whilst, Saturday offers you a nostalgic trip down memory lane with FAC 51 The Hacienda back at Sankeys for an Easter Saturday party which sees Todd Terry back at the Hac with a selection of the very best Hacienda residents.
