Those of you who cut your electronic teeth on Fabric’s infamous mix CD series will need no introduction to Adam Freeland, during the face-pounding naughties Freeland rose to fame with his unique brand of eclectic breaks and electro, with notable tracks like ‘We Want Your Soul‘ and his remix of Sarah Vaughan’s ‘Fever’ which he was nominated for a Grammy.

Well he’s back a flexing his remixing credentials on Lana Del Rey’s new single ‘Summer Sadness’. His remix is an astute blend of rubbery hip hop basslines, his ubiquitous breaks percussion, and warm, doughy pads which are then layered over the whimsical vocal, for a remix that is very much on his terms, delivering a thoroughbred breaks remix that’s both powerful and emotional.
