Finally the wait is over. Alternate pop duo Monarchy have finally unveiled the first single to be taken from their as yet unnamed album. The song ‘Disintegration’ features vocals from Dita Von Tesse, who, according to Wikipedia, is a American burlesque dancer, model, costume designer, and actress.
It’s no surprised that ‘Disentegration’ is an edgy piece of pop, but delve a little deeper and their a lot more at play. Essentially there’s two tracks here, one that manages to satisfy Monarchy’s sleazy 80’s synth sound and another which is a more a rock song. These two contrasting elements play out a tug-of-war between the soft vocals of Teese and the raptourous chorus from the duo for maximum impact.
It’s basically Monarchy 2.0; edgier, catchier and just better.
