The song is based around two contrasting vocal samples, they’re then layered over some piano chords, which are then paired up with a squelchy bassline, then there’s a breakdown with just the vocal and piano, then all of a sudden there’s that bassline again. I think you can see what we’re getting at here: it’s text book, dare we say it too text book? It’s so predictable you almost know what’s going to happen before it has even happened.
