Hot on the heels of the Wavering EP from French duo Reflex (which included the acclaimed remix from JBAG) comes the one and only Adamski making his debut on Jerry Bouthier’s Continental records.

Those of you who have been listening to dance music as far back as the 80’s will no doubt recognise the name Adamski aka Adam Tinley, one of the UK’s most eccentric characters and one of the forefathers of the acid house movement in the early 90’s.

Well, he’s back with a new EP featuring a host of remixes from ATTAR!, Mirror People and Blackjoy. ‘I Like It’ looks to reconcile the big disco synths and wonky acid stabs – it’s a bit of confusing combination – but the veteran makes it work from start to finish.

‘Wot Happened To U’  is an easier track to decipher – chatty percussion, soft keys, off-the-cuff house vocals – but by the drop you’re in deep disco territory.

Top of the remix tree is unsurprisingly the ATTAR! remix which is getting spins from Aeroplane, Rex The Dog and Punks Jump Up. Renaud uses the wonky intro as a ruse, but by the time you hit the main drive your in full wonky disco mode. By the time your get to the breakdown it goes into a hands-in-the-air future classic.

Mirror People turn the original into a chugging disco re-work – with more of a eye towards tribal rhythms.

French maestro Blackjoy rounds up the package with an inspired alternative version, a real dark horse of the package.

Update: Continental Records are giving away the Blackjoy remix – which is handy as it’s one of the best remixes on EP.
