Ethically conscious imprint Weapons has made a huge impact in a short space time since its inception in 2016. With five percent of all sales going to war victims the label’s releases have a singular vision, and rather than chasing commercial success (though the more sales the better) they are primarily designed to destroy dancefloors.
Since its inception, Weapons has notched up 14 releases from the likes of Elliot Adamson, Alex Metric, Groove Armada, Mat.Joe and more. For their 15th release — which we’re premiering today — the imprint welcomes London party-starter ABOSOLUTE. to their ranks.
He is the man behind East London party brand WUT? CLUB and recently self-released his debut ‘Fairground’, which picked up huge support from the likes Annie Mac, B Traits, Todda T.
Ostensibly a lairy cut of acid electro, ‘Acid Summer’ made its first impact earlier this summer when the imitable The Black Madonna dropped the track during her set at Sonar and sees ABSOLUTE. weaving acid hooks around stocky kicks and galloping disco percussion for one of 2017’s most imposing bangers.
