Cameos and Game of Thrones kinda go hand-in-hand, over the years everyone’s favourite dragon drama has seen quite a few cameos from musicians and the like, even David Guetta made an appearance, or did he?
Pop sensastion Ed Sheeran is the latest in long line for artists to make an appearance in Game of Thrones, after Sheeran appeared in last night’s eagerly anticipated season 7 premiere — and, of course, he was singing.
He played the role of a Lannister soldier in last night’s premiere, singing a song that Arya Stark approves of. “That’s a pretty song,” she tells him.
Other musicians who have played cameos in Game of Thrones include Coldplay’s Will Champion, who featured in a folk band during season three’s infamous Red Wedding.
Animal Circus’s Joel Fry appeared in Seasons 4 & 5 as the recurring role of Hizdahr zo Loraq — a scion of the formerly slave-holding aristocracy of Mereen and, briefly, the betrothed of Daenerys Targaryen. And, finally, members of spacious, Reykjavík-based ensemble Sigur Rós have also appeared in Game of Thrones, too.
