Boys Noize’s has now released both parts of his ‘Mayday’ remixes EP, which we’re reliably informed will be released as a special edition faux remixes album for Record Store Day next month.

One of the remixes, taken from the second part of the remixes package, that caught our ear in particular comes from the ever-impressive Tensnake, who has remixed the Berliner’s ‘Starchild’ which features vocals from Polica.

The original is a tender pop track wrapped around ratting, propulsive drums lines, with Polica’s stunning vocals acting as a perfect counter to the track’s bustling electronic timbre.

Tensnake flips the original into a smouldering cut of italo disco, pitching down Polica’s vocals down ever so slightly to give them a more deadpan delivery that works perfectly with the track’s melancholic nature.
