You can now watch the brand-new theatrical trailer for Trainspotting 2 – which hits cinemas nationwide on January 27, 2017 – and it looks really good.
Renton and the boys are back and have a distain for modern life, including everything from social media to 2 hour commutes to work.
Trainspotting 2 sees the original cast (Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle) reunited with oscar-winning director Danny Boyle for the sequel that’s comes some 20 years since the original film’s release.
“Twenty years have gone by. Much has changed but just as much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to the only place he can ever call home. They are waiting for him: Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends are waiting too: sorrow, loss, joy, vengeance, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, regret, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, they are all lined up to welcome him, ready to join the dance.”
