Todd Terje and his house band The Olsens are set release a new EP of disco covers.
Terje created his live band to help bring to life his debut album, ‘It’s Album Time’, and now he is taking their contribution one step further having recorded a load covers of disco-shaped guilty pleasures for the likes of Yellow Magic Orchestra/Martin Denny, Martin Circus, Boney M and Vangelis.
There will also a set of accompanying contemporary remixes from the likes of Daniel Maloso, Dan Tyler, Prins Thomas and Øyvind Morken.
Check out Daniel Maloso’s remix of Boney M’s ‘Baby Do You Wanna Bump’ below ahead of the EP’s release on June 17th.
And while we’ve got you, you must check out Terje’s latest remix which sees the disco demigod on a acid-disco tip, reworking Beranek’s controversial 1981 Norwegian hit ‘Dra Te Hælvete’ for its 35th anniversary, which was actually banned in Norway due to Beranek’s liberal use of swear words.
