Update: Prince’s publicist has confirmed that the singer has died at aged 57 – our thoughts are with his friends, family and fans.

Though it hasn’t been officially been confirmed yet, reports online – namely from celebrity news site TMZ – are suggesting that Prince has passed away aged 57 at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota.

Last week, Prince’s plane made an emergency landing after the singer was taken ill, though he did perform a few days later allaying fans’ concerns about his health, with TMZ confirming that he was suffering from flu.

We had the honour of seeing the legend play live in 2014 alongside his all-female band 3rd Eye Girl at Manchester’s Academy.
