Next month’s Record Store Day release schedule has been announced at a press event at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade today.
The line-up is, well, quite comprehensive and can be seen in full via Record Store Day’s website.
The annual event – which sees bricks and mortar record shops sell exclusive one-off records for one day only – has become so popular and lucrative for hard-up labels, it’s been delaying other artists’ vinyl releases as pressing plants struggle to keep up with the demand.
Highlights for this year include exclusive Records Store Day releases of Air’s ‘Playground Love’, Florence & The Machine’s new single ‘What Kind of Man’, and The Prodigy’s ‘Ibiza’.
Elsewhere, there’s a limited edition release of ‘Runddans’, the continuous album by Todd Rundgren, Lindstrom and Emil Nikolaisen from Serena-Maneesh, and there’s also a limited edition coloured vinyl of Goldfrapp’s debut album ‘Felt Mountain’.
You can check out the entire release list by visiting Record Store Day’s website here.
Record Store Day takes place next month on April 18.
