Sankeys re-opening was marred last weekend with Lil Louis – one of the founding fathers of Chicago House – unable to play the Manchester club after suffering a freak accident with an airhorn during his soundcheck.

According to the producer, via his Facebook, before his set he suffered serious damage to his hearing in an incident with an over-powered airhorn.

Apparently someone from the club let off a high-powered airhorn next to the producer’s ear causing sound induced hearing loss, which could threaten the producer’s career.

The DJ has fully explained his no-show via his Facebook page earlier today.
