Justin Strauss and Teddy Stuart comprise the duo a/jus/ted, although if I had the name Teddy I wouldn’t abbreviate it for all the money in the world. As such I’m going to refer to the pair as Justin and Teddy from here on in.

The original Blood Orange track ‘Uncle ACE‘ is a beautiful thing (as is the whole Cupid Deluxe album). It makes sense then, that Justin and Teddy wouldn’t go too far in altering what was a winning formula.

By working the remix around the piano stabs from the original, Justin and Teddy have done a fantastic job of thickening up the original for the dancefloor while keeping the overarching theme and feel of the song intact. Added synth bass replaces its funky acoustic counterpart, coupled with arpeggiated licks running throughout – these give the song a flow and drive from beginning to end, with the 9 minute run-time flying by in no time.
