To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their record store, Bleep have teamed up with some of their favourite artists to create a 14 track compilation containing new and unreleased music by some real big hitters.

Fuck Buttons rightfully take their place alongside giants such as Modeselektor, Autechre and Nathan Fake in a record that promises to span a whole range of genres, and theirs is the first track released as a preview.

Fuck Buttons’ contribution is a reworking of one of their own tracks, Brainfreeze, from last year’s ‘Slow Focus’. What was an ear-fatiguing eight and a half minute romp has been both toned down and trimmed down. An ethereal and eerie intro makes way into a drum-and-bass-esque body which, while energetic, retains a sense of calm that pervades the song despite the addition of subsequent, increasingly euphoric layers. Roiling arpeggios flutter underneath the main swell, and in true Fuck Buttons style this is a track that pulls no punches.

The compilation is a long way off yet (slated for May 5th), but on first indications could be well worth the wait.
