Panama Disco Lights are a bit of an unknown quantity: they don’t have a Facebook page, they don’t endlessly post pictures of their food on Twitter, and there’s not a single selfie of them on Instagram – they basically don’t exist.
Apart from their new single, that does exist, and it has just come out on La Belle.
The only original, ‘The Mood I’m In‘ is a jonty piece of toe-tapping indie disco, with plenty of singalong vocals and snappy percussion. It actually ends up sounding a lot like a talented Scissor Sisters, perish the thought.
Elsewhere there are a wealth of remixes from Italian beat-smith Rodion; up-and-coming Spanish combo Gameboyz; and Space Ranger who delivers a deep-deep-deep-deep house masterpiece.
