Holy Models’ debut release on Eskimo Records has been going down a treat, and today we’re pretty damn excited to priemiering the Freeform Five remix. Some of you may not have heard of Freeform Five, but Anu Pillai is a pretty big deal.

If you peruse his discography you’ll note two well received albums, remixes for N*E*R*, Brian Wilson and Lindstrom, and career that has lasted just shy of 15 years.

Well recently he’s been gradually coming out of hibernation with a newly released single on Ghent’s Eskimo, and now a new Reform remix.

So what’s he done to ‘Swimming’? Well quite a bit actually: it’s a bit wonkier, more complex and generally a different beast entirely. The trio’s softly softly vocals still remain intact, as does the lovely keys – but Anu pushes the boundaries by adding micro acid flourishes and off-the-cuff percussion as you move towards the final drive – where it all comes together like a well-laid plan.

Out August 26.

‘Swimming’ is the opening track from The Pink Collection, the first installment in a brand new Eskimo compilation series that will be out early September.
