Clancy has been on a run of excellent house and disco singles so far in 2013. ‘The Way You Dance’, ‘All Just In My Mind’ and ‘Sleepless Nights’ have all been unique and interesting in their own right and have gone onto dominate many mixtapes and DJ mixes over the last few months.

So it comes as no surprise that a major label have asked Clancy to remix a mainstream artist such as Ellie Goulding. Goulding has covered ‘Tessellate’ by Mercury Music Prize winning Indie darlings Alt-J a slow burning moody pop song with some dance music touches.

Tasked with the job of getting this track ready for the dance floor, Clancy in his usual understated manner has created a subtle catchy house track that will live long in the memory. Basing the hook of the track on a few key lines seems to be Clancys signature currently and it works excellently here as it makes Goulding sound seductive sultry yet haunted throughout.

This remix coupled with his previous output marks Clancy as definitely one to watch in 2013. Look out for this remix and the Ellie Goulding original in the forthcoming weeks.
