Alex Metric teased us about a forthcoming Metric/Jacques Lu Cont collaboration in our Introducing interview a few week ago, well last night ‘Safe With You’ finally got its world premiere on the Annie Mac show.

As far as odd combinations go, this one is straight out of EDM’s leftfield; a tag-team combination of Steve Angello and Jacques Lu Cont remixing Depeche Mode’s new single ‘Soothe My Soul’.
The latest release from Stuart Price under his new Tracques pseudonym features an octuplet of well-put-together techno offerings with splatters of electro mayhem. So does the Readingite with more producer credits than Steven Spielberg hit the mark?
Jacques Lu Cont has just announced that his heavily rumoured new album is ready for release and is going to be under a new alias Traques. It will be a self-release on his own label, with another single on its way with Boys Noize apparently.
One of our favourite tracks from Boys Noize’s latest album is ‘Ich R U’ – so when we heard JLC had remixed it we were more than a little bit giddy with excitement. Unfortunately JLC’s remix doesn’t quite hit the spot. It’s not bad, but just doesn’t seem to flow quite how it probably should – dare we say it’s a bit too wonky? Proof you can’t always improve upon on a proven recipe.
2012 has been a great year for Jacques Lu Cont. Seemingly bored of the pop world he’s be inhabiting for the last few year, the UK-based producer has clearly been enjoying the freedom that dance music offers.
15 years after Jacques Lu Cont took the dance world by storm with his debut Le Rythme Digital album, the powers that be at Radio 1 have finally managed to get the super-producer to do studio mix for their infamous essential mix.
Jacques is back. Once again the super-producer has dropped another out-of-the-blue free track – called ‘Underground’ it’s proof, once again, that: British bangers are best.
This came as a bit of a surprise, but Jacques Lu Cont has done a new remix for tech house DJ/Producer John Dalhback – it’s great to hear JLC go back to his LRD esoteric style – it’s out now via Chris Lake’s Rising Music.
Jacques is well and truly back. The super producer has been silent for 8 years under his Jacques Lu Cont guise, but he’s really making a comeback at the moment – we’ve had ‘Reload,’ ‘Church’ and now for what he does best: remixes.
We’ve seen Stuart Price, aka Jacques Lu Cont, a couple times since his return to DJ’ing and actually making music for himself and each time he’s road-tested some new material as well as play the classics.
This weekend finally saw the return of Jacques Lu Cont, and as soon as we ripped the track from radio a high quality version was found on Youtube, well, now it’s on Soundcloud and is being given away as a free download. Get. It. Now.
Jacques Lu Cont is back, no, he’s really back. You may have seen him DJ recently but now, for the first time in seven years, he making music for himself, which presumably means the return Le Rythmes Digitales! He premiered a new track called ‘ReLoad’ on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show and thankfully it sounds like 21st century Le Rhythmes Digitales.
